Guess who's back?! Back again!! IT'S ME!

Gosh, it's been such a long time since I have been on here!
I really need to update all of my pictures and everything!
Now, I'm in college! Yep, true story. :P

So basically, I have decided since my mommy now has one of these blogs, that I should get mine going again and share it with all of my Facebook fans :)

I have missed doing this. It makes me feel so good to know that, by choice, you clicked this link to read what I have to say.

You all know that I am full of thoughts about everything and this is my free space to post it and not offend a single soul. If you don't like it, don't read it.

Much love! Keep checking on here and I'll be posting a whole lot. I am a busy little person these days.

Get ready for laughs, confusion, and a little look into the life of a girl in college and what it's like.

Things I've Done

It's been a while. I have been having a boring summer since Atlanta really. I had a few trips to the dentist, got my nose pierced, and had a meeting with the new band director.

My life is boring...
I didn't realize how boring it was until I went to do this post...

Wow. There's nothing else to talk about...
OK, So, I guess I'll talk to you later.

Here's a pic of my nose ring.

Hotlanta Melts My Face!!

I am finally home. I have so much to tell you guys about. I got up early last Monday morning and went to my school to take Senior Pictures!!! I will post them up as soon as I get some for you. I will also post pictures from this past week hopefully tomorrow. I have to load them on my computer and all that good stuff. I will give you a day-by-day schedule.

Monday:
I got up and got dressed. Went to McDonald's to get a Southern Style Chicken Biscuit for breakfast. [YUM!] Then I went to school and took my Sen10r pics :) After that I came home and finished putting my bags in our RV. Then we took off for a several hour venture to Atlanta to Stone Mountain :) For those of you who don't know, Stone Mountain is the largest granite mountain in the world. Only 10% of the mountain is expose above the earth's surface. On the Mountain there is a carving of three men. Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis. To see pictures of the mountain please visit http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMFG5 That is the largest sculpture on a mountain in the whole entire world. It is even bigger than Mt. Rushmore. When we got to Stone Mountain, we set up our camp and ate some supper. After that we went to some of the shops near the mountain, watched Journey to the Center of the Earth in 4D, rode the train around the mountain, and then watched the laser light show. If you have never seen it, I can tell you it is absolutely spectacular! It is complete with fog machines, thousands of lasers, fireworks, and pyrotechnics! After the laser light show we got back to camp around 11:30 and went to bed.

Tuesday:
We got up extremely early and drove to the Georgia Dome so I could register for American Idol. We stood in line for about 2 and a half hours, which wasn't too bad. It wasn't hot yet. After I was registered and had my tickets and wristbands for American Idol we went back to camp and took a nap. After our nap we hung out around camp, went shopping some more, and did some of the fun things Stone Mountain has to offer. When we were all finished we went back to camp, took showers, and went to bed.

Wednesday:
We just kinda chilled out for a while before going to get our wristbands from ATL Fest. For those of you who don't know, ATL Fest is the equivalent of Christian Warped Tour. There are three stages that are occupied from 9 AM to about 1 AM the next day with bands, singers, and speakers from all over the world. [Keep in mind there were several other bands besides the ones I mention here. I am only naming the ones I personally saw.] Later that afternoon we went back to ATL Fest to see some of the bands. Brad Fogarty was the awesome emcee of the whole event. Check out his website at www.bradfogarty.com Wednesday night kicked off with Building 429 and the laser light show. Building 429 was absolutely amazing. They were one of my favorites. :) After the concert we went back to camp. We had to get up early Thursday morning.

Thursday:
We got up extremely early and got dressed in order to be at the GA dome by 8 AM. American Idol auditions started then. When we got to the dome we had to wait outside for a few minutes, go through a bag check and throw away our food. We weren't allowed to have anything but one bottle of water per person. Thankfully we got a nice bag checker and he didn't make us throw away everything. We packed lunch :P We did share our food with people around us because prices at the dome were outrageous! They wanted $4.00 for a SMALL!!! cup of coffee. After the camera guys from American Idol got the tapes they wanted from the audience to put on the show, they began auditions. Yes people, popular to contrary belief, there are other rounds before you get to Simon, Paula, Randy, and Kara. This was round one. You had to go up in groups of four at a time and sing for a panel of producers. After waiting for several hours, it was my turn to sing. Unfortunately the producers I got to didn't let anybody at all through to the next round. I wasn't too worried though, because there is always next year. After the producers declined my whole group, I went through, had my wristband cut off and thrown away, and went back to camp to take another nap. LOL. I was full of naps this past week. After our nap we went to the concerts. We saw Remedy Drive, The Afters, Leeland, and Skillet. Skillet was totally my favorite band. Check them out at www.myspace.com/skilletmusic

Friday:
We slept in! LOL! For the first day, we slept in!!! :) It was awesome. When we got up we hung out around camp for a while. Jerry and I went swimming illegally in Stone Mountain Lake. After that we went to the concerts. We saw KJ-52, Stellar Kart, downhere, Phil Joel, Brandon heath, Live Fish Band, and Kutless. After the shows we went back and went to bed.

Saturday:
Sadly, the last day of Atlanta Fest. :( I wasn't ready to leave but I was excited for the concerts!! We saw Tenth Avenue North, Krsitan Stanfill, Natalie Grant, Family Force 5, Paul Young, Hearts of Saints, and Casting Crowns. After the concerts, I bet you can't guess what we did! LOL.

Sunday: we woke up and headed home.

I hope everyone else had a great week!

Sunday, June 14

Vacation's all I ever wanted!

LOl! Just kidding. I like that song though, it's pretty catchy.
Anyway, I am leaving Monday morning to go to the big city of Atlanta. We are going to be camping at Stone Mountain for a week. We are going to be there for Atlanta Fest. It is like Christian Woodstock. LOL. I will be viewing concerts of many different artists including Family Force 5, Casting Crowns, and Skillet. There are tons of other people going.

On the other hand, I will miss one day of concerts...Thursday.

While I am slightly bummed about that, I am totally excited because on Thursday I will be at the Georgia Dome.

But Britany, why in the world would you leave Atlanta Fest to go to the Georgia Dome and miss some awesome concerts.

I will tell you! I am going to audition for Season 9 of American Idol!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I will keep everybody updated.

I will be back next Sunday so don't cry. :) I will miss every single one of my devoted readers. I know you will miss my lovely writings. To keep you entertained I would suggest doing your summer reading assignments for those of you who have them. Don't forget you can always start your paper, too. I know you love me for the reminder. No thank yous are necessary. :)Patrick, I'm talking to you. :D And Carter if you read this.

For those of you with no summer assignments, I would recommend finding a good book to read. The City of Ember is now a movie and it is awesome. You should read the book. The book is always better :)

I'll post on Sunday. Have a great week!

Big Decisions in High School

A friend of mine asked me to write a blog for him about high school and big decisions we make.

When a teenager enters high school it is a brand new world. High school comes hand-in-hand with other big life-changing decisions and you should think things through BEFORE you do them!

From my personal experience you learn all kinds of new things about life in general. You learn about drugs, alcohol, sex, pregnancy, love, and heart-breaks. You make new friends and lose some old ones. The question you should ask yourself is, "are these new friends good for me to be with?" It can save you from trouble in the long run.

Driving is a new experience most teens get to learn about in high school as well. I recommend taking driver's education! You can never be prepared enough for what adventures you will face on the road on any given day! LOL

The biggest thing that I have had trouble with so far is love. Its not that I have had trouble finding it, just keeping it. I have had two serious boyfriends in three years and if I knew then what I know now, I would have done things a little different. Heart-breaks are the worse things to go through in the world. Love bites, love bleeds! Def Leppard was right! It is very strange how you find things out. I had two boyfriends and I recently found out that two guys liked me. One of them, for three-four years, the other for SEVEN! While I did at one point like the seven-year guy, I knew then and I know now that he isn't good for me.

Big decisions are put on your shoulders. Decisions to drive or not. Make the friends or don't. Take the shot of liquor or don't. Smoke the cigarettes/weed or don't. Give in to peer pressure or don't. Whatever you decide, remember that it effects everyone around you! You always have someone who cares about you. Caring comes along with a love between friends, and just like any love, it comes along with worrying about mistakes and problems.

Remember that everything comes with the possibility that you may regret your actions. Think through them before you do them. Just always remember that even though you may regret something later, you had a good reason for doing it at the time.

Does that make sense?

Perfect?

Merriam-Webster defines perfect as, "being entirely without fault or defect. flawless. satisfying all requirements. corresponding to an ideal standard or abstract concept. lacking no essential detail"

In my world, nothing is perfect and I like it that way, but sometimes I see things or people and I call them perfect, ironically.

In one instance where I apply the term perfect would be relationships. People who are in love. For example, Katie's perfect man is Carter. I think they will have a long and happy relationship. Amy and Blake are married and they are perfect for each other, the same goes for Brock and Auny.

In the application of the word perfect, love is perfect.

My question is, how do you pick someone? How do you know who is perfect?

Does perfect have a list of characteristics to compare against?
Does perfect have the same beliefs and ideoligies as you?
Does perfect have to be a man/woman with the same skin color?

Too many people in this world are too busy trying to find that PERFECT man or woman wo is exactly everything they could ever want and for too many people that includes having the same skin color. Yes, many people do fall in love with someone of their own race. Some people don't.

I've said many times before that you can't choose who you fall in love with. If you put measures on who you want to be with, you will never find someone to perfectly fit them. Sure, it can be a very fine line but you will never find an exact match. People are too particular.

I have a good friend who likes a guy. The guy is black and the girl is white. Her family wouldn't agree with the relationship if they knew about it. At all! They totally disagree with interracial relationships.

I don't understand. If their daughter would be happy why couldn't they accept it. The guy is a very nice guy. Its not like he's the town drug-dealer or anything. Then I could understand why they would be mad about it. She hasn't told them yet. She's not even sure it will turn into anything...

I personally have never really been interested in a guy of another race except Mexican, but that is beside the point. Why can't people just look at others like they are just people. People are just people. They all have feelings, they all have problems, they all experience love! Why can't we all just be happy and share those moments together.

As far as my friend, I think I'm going to just go with the flow and see what happens. I am buckled up and riding the bus to find out where I will go in my life. This may be a pit stop along the way or it may not. All I can do is hold on and find out. If you don't support me, I really don't care. If you care about me whatsoever, you will agree with Katie and support me. Ultimately it is my decision...

I kinda feel like I'm trying to make myself believe it would be ok. I'm done now. I know it is. I am fully prepared to defend myself if the need arises.

Tonight's the night the world begins again.

I absolutely love the Goo Goo Dolls.

As most of you know, my music has a way of preaching to me in times of need. LOL. Katie, like you said, we are so much alike its scary. We can't help each other because we can't help ourselves. LOL. :D

Anyway, like I was saying. The Goo Goo Dolls just told me "tonight's the night the world begins again." Yes I know, you are all saying, "but Britany, the world never ended."

I will have to argue, your's may not have, but mine did.

Someone just told me they have something very important to tell me later. They were in a good mood, so that is a good thing.

Look out for more information to come about this. My world may begin again, we'll find out. :D

Finally home!

Camping at the Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge was...
it was rainy!
there were mosquitos the size of birds!!
there were horseflies and yellowflies the size of bumble bees!
there were alligators, big big alligators.

But Sunday it was finally SUNNY!!! So me and my dad and brother went out in the swap in a boat. It was fun. There were alligators everywhere. I did have fun then.

On the other hand my little Australian friends were not so cool while I was gone.
I come back to read more threatening blogs to and from each other. These kids are like 13-14 and they are talking about self-mutilation and crazy stuff!

What do they watch as children? Some strange version of Sesame Street that teaches them the way of self-mutilation for the day instead of a letter of the alphabet?!
There's a show on tv called The Secret Life of the American Teenager. It accurately captures the tendency of teenage girls to be pregnant in high school. It also accuratly shows a few scenes of drug and alcohol abuse...

Why can't my Australian buddies just have those problems instead of the ones they have now? It would be the better of two evils...

I hope they take advice from me and Katie and find some other way to fix their problems. I really worry about them!!!

About 3 hours

left of school this year! Only two blocks tomorrow and school will officially be out for summer break.

About 35 hours left until I am officially a senior...

I will not cry! I WILL NOT CRY!!!
Tomorrow will be a great day and I will not cry. I am going to miss everybody this summer. All of my friends, I will probably see Katie a lot though, so that cheers me up :)

I am going to miss all of my friends who are graduating Saturday. Today was their last day at school! I almost cried when I told Shelby goodbye today. I am going to miss her. She made the worst class in the whole entire school awesomely fun! I have enjoyed picking on her blonde moments and hearing about her crazy boy stories.

I am going to miss Lindy too. She was like my watcher. She always made sure I was ok and I understood math. She left me her parking spot in the senior will and testament. I will think of her every single day as I park in a different spot in the parking lot. LOL!

Those of you who know Lindy understand.

Only about 35 hours, and I WILL NOT CRY!!!

Tuesday, May 19

Is this really about to happen?

Senior year? It's coming...

It's coming and there's nothing I can do about it. As of Saturday morning I will officially be a senior!

It just dawned on me...

WOW!

When I was younger I never thought this day would come because it felt like it was taking soo long to get here.

Surprise! IT SNUCK UP ON ME! I wish I could have three years back but have the lessons I've learned from life. I would do things different. Just one more chance knowing what I know now and my whole high school career could have been better. It was pretty good so far, but not what I dreamed it would be. There were too many breakdowns and realizations that I didn't want to come to.

One more year, I'm gonna make the best of it!

Que sera, sera. :)

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, for two years now I have had the same English teacher and as far as I was concerned my writing skills were freakin awesome! UNTIL TODAY!!

A professor from a college not far from our high school came in today to assess our work and give us tips on how to make it better.

He tore Katie a new one, made Samantha cry, and Ryan said he doesn't want to go to college anymore.

Needless to say, this guy was a total jerk. Especially when he said Rob's paper was crap and threw it on the ground.

Maybe I'm not cut out for college. Especially if he is going to be my professor!

GGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

And the teacher I will have for English next year isn't qualified enough to help fix our crappy writing. I guess I'm just screwed.

What can I do?

I'm not sure what to say right now.
My thoughts are so scrambled up.
I don't know what to do without causing serious problems!
I...
What can I do?

Tuesday, May 12

OH my WOW!

Last night was the talent show and I was very tired when it was over so I went to bed when I got home. This blog is about last night.

Ok, so it was the talent show and I was performing. I sang Hurt by Christina Aguilera. I was thinking about the lyrics and what they mean. [here's a link to the lyrics if you don't know the song click here.]If you don't know the song, go read the lyrics and then continue, you won't fully understand.

Now that you have read the lyrics--I get up on stage and I'm listening for my intro and as the first words come out of my mouth it hits me--this song applies to my life and that's not a good thing.

This song can be applied to several people's life, depending on how you look at it. It can be taken as you have lost someone because of death, you got in a fight with your best friend, or even you and your boyfriend/girlfriend broke up.

"Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face, you told me how proud you were but I walked away."

Wow! I seriously almost lost my mind right there on stage. All I could think was Josh. I thought I was over it. It was done, I moved on and was waiting for another guy to come along and sweet talk me just the right way like he did. But no! I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG! When we broke up he told me that he didn't love me like he should anymore and that he would still be there for me when I need him

As I kept singing and the lyrics began to run through my head right before they came out of my mouth all I could think about is what I would do to have him there to hear this song and tell him how sorry I am for whatever I had done wrong and how sorry I am for blaming him for all of my mess ups and whatever.

I see Josh for the majority of the school day. He was one of my best friends but now its all different. Everything has changed. I was sitting in Psychology today thinking about times we had together, dancing with him at prom, parties, alone time, just whatever. Then I realized that everything that happened between us wasn't really my fault, yet somehow I keep telling myself it is. I would do almost anything in the world to tell him that I'm sorry for whatever I may have done and to have just one more chance. I do miss him more than anything. I fell too hard too fast and he wasn't completely ready to catch me yet.

"If only I knew what I know today..."
I would have done things differently. I would have controlled myself better. I would have enjoyed the time we had together more than I did. I would have told him more often that I loved him. I would have realized something was wrong before I did and I would have saved everything. I would have saved him, I would have saved us.

"I've hurt myself..."
I didn't do any of that. I have hurt myself. I did this on my own. I put myself in that position again, after having my heart broken once, knowing that it could happen again, but believing that it wouldn't. People have told me, "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all." Sometimes I don't believe that. I don't understand it. There are times when I wish that I didn't love him or anybody else. It would have been so much easier to just wonder what it feels like to be loved on a level like that than to turn out the way it has.

"I would hold you in my arms, I would take the pain away, thank you for all you've done, forgive all your mistakes. There's nothing I wouldn't do to have just one more chance to look into your eyes and see you looking back..."

Ok, I lied again. I'm not ok. But I refuse to be mopey depressed Britany. I will be ok eventually. And I am lucky enough to have Katie and Carter to help me through it.

Fireflies and Life Dreams

have a way of making you think about things. I don't know why! Here at my house the fireflies are not seen very often. [sadness] But we went camping this weekend in our new RV and the camp ground had fireflies. It made me think back on the vacations we used to take to Tennessee to see my Grandma and Uncles.

Anyway, while watching the fireflies last night I thought long and hard about everything!

If you ask a young girl what she wants to do when she grows up she will tell you something that could easily be compared to a Cinderella story, give or take a few details. When I was a little girl I just wanted to have a boyfriend. As I got older that progressed to a fiance, then to a husband. Then I decided that I wanted to have children with my husband and have the perfect little life. I wanted to live in a two-story house with a garage and a wrap-around porch. I could picture it in my head! It was perfect. My husband would work and I would take care of the kids until they were old enough to go to school. I would have gone to college before getting married and had an awesome job in a top hospital as the head nurse, where I would quit because I got pregnant and I would return several years later and work my way back up to that position.

Today if you ask me what I want, I don't know!

I did know and I had it all planned out. I realized that no matter how much I plan out it doesn't really matter because that is not what will happen. Things always happen and dreams always fade. Obstacles get in the way and sometimes they can't be overcome. I had my life planned out with my last boyfriend...but all of that crashed down when we broke up.

I know that I want certain things from my life and I always tell my friends they can do ANYTHING if they work hard enough for it.

Next year, I will be a senior in high school. It scares me to think that I am almost grown up. I will be 18 in September. That scares me, too. As of today, at least 3 of my friends are engaged, officially and unofficially. They know what they are going to do with their life and they have somebody to share that with. I have no idea why I feel the need to find someone to share my life with as soon as possible. I don't know when I will meet the man I marry. I don't know if he is one of my best friends today or if he was 5 years ago. That is the scary and strange thing about life. You never know what is going to happen. I feel like I am rambling. I know that the fireflies could hear me...but they can't talk back. I'm still waiting for that person who speaks my language. I want to have an intelligent conversation with them. I don't know who they are but I have the feeling that I will know immediately when I find them.

Katie, Don't Be That Guy!!!

Have you ever realized how people are taking a certain tone with you? Whether its on your blog, instant messenger, email, etc. it is sometimes hard to catch on because the contents are not being vocalized. However, I have magical powers and I know when someone is taking a specific type of tone with me. For example, a friend [i won't point fingers but um...katie!] Anyway, Missy Moo Moo over here is getting smart with me IN A BLOG!! I know she didn't expect to get smart with me and not have me get smart back. If she's not careful I am going to whip out my hardcore ghetto side and beat her down old lady style! With a rusty spoon. LOl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =))

But for those of you who don't personally know Katie and I, we could go on with this blog madness all night long if you let us. LOL.

So Katherine, DON'T BE THAT GUY!!!!! :D

Relief!

Finally the Graduation Test results are in and I passed everything! I actually EXCEEDED everything, which is even better. I do strive for perfection with a fabulous thank-you to my OCD.

My friend Katie told me a joke and said that I have CDO because it's in alphabetical order and that's the way it should be. LOL! I love her :D

Anyway, I did awesome on the Grad tests so I don't have to go to school over the summer and retake it.

Today was just a pretty good day.

Life isn't perfect, it never will be. Today could have been worse. I will be optimistic and just look at it in those terms.

I still don't have anyone who can hear me... I will find them oneday but for now I'm going to follow some advice a friend gave me.

This guy was my best friend for several years until we dated and it ended kinda ugly, now we are friends again and its all good.
Anyway, Matt told me to just stop looking for somebody, don't look for anybody and when I least expect it, they will find me. Maybe he's right. All I can do is wait and see. First we will see how long I can go without making the effort to find someone who can speak my language.

We will see.

Unheard...Unseen...

Do you ever just have one of those days where you feel like whatever. Like you are just in a world surrounded by all of these people and you are just in your own little world? Alone. Lonely. I feel like I could just talk about absolutely nothing all day long and nobody would hear me. Things going on around me tend to block me out. People tend to block me out. Actions and words don't speak loud enough to ring out among their deafening screams...

Why the heck to do I feel like this? I never feel like this? I look around me and everybody has somebody. Whether its a boyfriend or a best friend. I feel caught in the middle. I know that I have best friends, some of the best in the world, but I feel like they have their own little world going on and no matter what I can't be a part of that.

I see where I am today and what I am doing. I am too worried about schoolwork to do anything. I talk to people and I go out and try to have fun but no matter what, I just can't feel like I am totally 100% a part of any of it.

I have never had one of these days before today. I sat in class today and I noticed that I was the only one actually doing my assignment. Every single person in the room was doing something else, talking to someone else. But I wasn't. I was the ONLY one. It's strange that I notice things like this and it actually bothered me. Its almost like the world around me is moving but i'm stationary and I just don't understand why.

It makes me wonder if I am seperating myself from everybody else or if they are doing it to me. It could be a combination of both.

I feel like I am unheard and unseen. I feel like I'm just here and nothing more.
I know that in just a few months I'm an adult and in about a year, I'm out of high school. I'm not sure if I'm ready to take this step. I have no choice in the matter, but that doesn't mean I have to like the idea.

I miss having somebody to share these moments with. Someone to hold me and rock me and tell me everything will be ok and they will be there for me. Even though I do have people like that, it doesn't help. Nothing helps.

I feel extremely discouraged today and I don't know why. I feel like I can't do anything right. I feel like having a weep-a-thon. I haven't had one in a while. Maybe it will do some good and help me feel better. I would just be crying for no reason really. I guess sometimes we all just need to take a moment and have a good cry. Cry for everything in our lives. Cry for the people we love and the potential to see them hurt. Cry for the potential to get hurt ourselves. Cry because we feel alone in the world even though we aren't. Cry because we are having one of those "i regret my decision" moments. Just cry it all out.

The only thing to make that better would be to cry and have someone like that who you actually WANT to make it better. I don't think I have that anymore. Maybe because I won't let myself. I really don't know. I don't know what my issue is.

Today I see where I am and I wonder where I will be tomorrow. Nobody knows. I wish they could tell me.

As for now, in the famous words of Mitch Hedberg, "I'm tired of following my dreams. I'm going to ask where they're going and catch up with them later."

The Meaning!

Ok, so I got a new tattoo and I posted a picture of it yesterday.

So, If you haven't seen it you might not understand the meaning.
I was thinking about it today after somebody asked me what it meant. The truth is I got it because I thought it was pretty.

But... now, there is a reason!!!!!!!! It was inspired by my bestest friend Katie. I thought about how she gets soo excited, or upset when I tell her what I have done or am going to do. Katie always has the most awesome reactions to everything. LOL.

Anyway, the big star in the middle is me, the swirls are my decisions, and the little stars are my friends and family. The whole tattoo shows how my decisions effect everybody around me, even when I don't want them to. Making me think before I act. A few good people taught me that lesson. I realized theres nothing you can really do about some things, but it does effect everybody!

The lesson kids: think before you act!!!

Until next time,
Britany <3

Wednesday, April 22

......speechless......

Many of my readers know that March 21, 2007 was a very tragic day in the lives of many people in my school and community.

For those of you who don't know about the tragedies that struck us on that day I will briefly fill you in...

On the way to school on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 Laura Cobb, Melissa Arthur, Heather Arthur, and Tam Le were on their way to school. Laura let Tam drive her car and he was doing so wrecklessly. To make a very long and complicated story short, Tam lost control of the car and hit a truck head on, killing sisters Melissa and Heather and their friend Laura. Tam was in a coma for several weeks and didn't remember anything. When he woke up his mom told him what happened and he angrily began to pull cords from the machines that were working to keep him alive. Still today everybody in the community suffers this terrible loss...

Today, 2 years and 1 month after the wreck Tam Le went to court...

Family members of the three girls gave testimonies as to how the loss has affected them and their families. Following the heartbreaking stories the audience of the court room heard about the tragedy from Tam's mother, Jenifer, who blames herself for the wreck. She told the people that she takes blame for what happened because Tam was only a teenager and she should have taken him to school. She told Tam not to drive Laura's car and she told Tam not to ask...

Today Tam Le apologized to the Arthur family for what happened and not getting a chance to really get to know the girls as a good friend. He then apologized to Laura's family telling them she was one of his best friends. After Tam's apologies, he turned to the judge and said he would accept whatever punishment he was given.

4 and 1/2 years in prison and 24 1/2 years probation...

I honestly don't know what to think about this... some people say thats too long, others not long enough...

I think the fact that he is living with himself everyday knowing that he killed three of his friends must be worse than any punishment the courts could ever sentence him...

I dearly miss my friends and I hope that people will open their eyes and realize this was honestly an accident!!!

Until next time,
