ME!!! I am so excited! I have prayed that the Lord would use me to help better our band in whatever way possible, I am the Drum Major this year.
Someone I know made me a little mad about this situation though. I did miss church Wednesday night because I had to be at practice. When I called this person to let them know I wouldn't be there they told me that it was my decision but not to put band before church.
In my defense, yes, I did miss church, but I was and will be witnessing to the band this whole entire year! It is my job to set an example for others to follow. I am going to make a conscientious effort to act the way I know a Christian person should. So far I am doing a great job at it.
Pray for me to remain calm and collected in times of stress and to make an impact on others through my leadership position. Thanks! Peace Out!

and honestly, i know who the person is that you are talking about, and they tend to put things in an extremist way. i mean, yes, church should be first, but when you cannot go, it doesnt mean that the reason you cant go is something that you are putting before church. it just means that you are a responsible leader and that you are using your position of power to set a christian example for the rest of us. if unnamed person has an issue with you being out there in the real world trying to set a good christian example for your peers and teammates, then he needs to get his priorities realigned.
